New attendance regulations are now in effect for our schools. Key points to note:
- Students are required to attend **66% of the school day**.
- The **Certificate of Enrollment** must be submitted by **August 15**.
- After the **third absence**, medical excuses are necessary, with a maximum of **five excused absences per semester** unless there are extenuating circumstances or approval from the superintendent.
- **Court petitions** can be filed after the **eighth unexcused absence**, but only after schools have made attempts at intervention.
